Latest Met Eireann forecast for The Banner County

Cloudy and wet this Saturday morning with outbreaks of rain in the west.

The rain will extend eastwards across Munster through the day and be heavy at times in the southwest during the morning, but will become light and patchy towards evening.

Quite breezy with moderate to fresh southerly winds, stronger near the coast, veering southwest and easing later. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.

National Outlook

Saturday night: Bringing further rain or showers, heavy in places. Mist and fog patches will form as southwesterly winds ease light. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees.

Sunday: Further rain or showers in parts to begin, but a drier day overall with scattered showers becoming isolated. After a cloudy start, spells of sunshine will gradually develop. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in light to moderate westerly winds. More rain is forecast for Sunday night.

Monday: A mostly dry day with a few well scattered showers. Some bright or sunny spells but a good deal of cloud in general. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12, mildest near the south coast, degrees in moderate westerly winds.

Another spell of rain is expected to move over the country later on Monday night and for a time on Tuesday. Turning drier and brighter on Tuesday afternoon. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.

More rain is predicted for the mid-week period. Current indications suggest that the latter part of next week will be cooler, still unsettled and breezy or windy at times too.
