Latest Met Eireann forecast for The Banner County

Friday will be wet and rather windy with outbreaks of rain becoming widespread during the morning and early afternoon, turning heavy and possibly thundery in places.

Fresh to strong southerly winds will accompany the rain and with exceptionally high spring tides continuing, there will again be a risk of coastal flooding.

A clearance to sunny spells and isolated showers will move in from the west during the late afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees.

Any remaining rain will clear the east early Friday night, with clear spells and isolated light showers following from the west. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light to moderate southwesterly winds.

Unsettled conditions are continuing into the weekend with some further wet and windy weather on the way.

Very high spring tides will bring an ongoing risk of coastal flooding, even in the absence of heavy rain and strong winds.
