A weather warning remains in place for Clare as the clean-up following Storm Isha is getting underway.

While the Banner county escaped the worst as the storm made its way across the country, hundreds of homes, farms and businesses in Clare remain without an electricity supply this Monday morning with the largest faults located in west of the county.

A status orange wind warning for Clare was lifted by Met Éireann in the early hours of the morning but a status yellow warning remains in place until 7pm.

According to the forecaster, very strong and gusty westerly winds can be expected throughout the day.

Potential impacts include large coastal waves with wave overtopping, difficult travelling conditions and debris.
