Upgrades planned for footpaths in East Clare village

CLARE County Council are to carry out upgrades to a number of footpaths and kerbs in an East Clare village.
The works are set to be carried out in the coming months, after Councillor Pat Burke requested that the kerbs and footpaths outside the filling station at Tuamgreaney and nearby properties be upgraded "these have fallen into disrepair".
Cllr Burke submitted this request as a motion to the November meeting of the Killaloe Municipal District on Wednesday.
In response to Cllr Burke's motion, senior executive engineer Declan Flanagan said that the improvement works would be carried out in "coming months".
"Killaloe MD has reviewed these locations in Tuamgreaney village. Degradation has occurred at the access points to the service station, levels of kerbs are also inconsistent and will require replacement," Mr Flanagan said.
"Killaloe MD will be carrying out improvement works to these sections of footpaths over the coming two months."
