'Significant' oil spill reported between on road between Ennis and Crusheen
It's understood the oil spill on the R458 Gort Road may take some hours to clear
Motorists are being urged to "take extreme caution" following an oil spill on the Gort Road between Ennis and Crusheen.
Clare County Council issued a notice just before midday this Tuesday, March 26, warning of "a significant oil spill on the Gort Road (R458) from LIDL to Crusheen".
"The road surface is very slippery on both lanes and motorists are advised to take extreme caution," they stated.
Three appliances from Ennis Fire Station are in attendance, however the council has advised that it may take a "few hours before the issue is finally resolved".
