A woman in her 30s has been arrested and charged for making online threats to Tánaiste Simon Harris and his family.
Gardaí began investigations after they were alerted to the threats made through social media in recent months.

Gardaí had previously arrested a women in her 30s in early September in relation to the online threats but she was subsequently released.
A spokesperson for the Gardaí said,

"Gardaí investigating online threats against an elected representative have arrested and charged a woman today, Thursday 20th November 2025.
"The woman, aged in her 30s, is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice (CCJ, Court No. 1) this morning, 20th November 2025."
