Tributes pour in for 17-year-old killed in N17 horror crash

Tributes have been pouring in for a 17-year-old who was killed in a crash on the N17 while walking home.

Vakaris Gudaitis was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the N17 in Claremorris, Co Mayo, on Saturday, March 30.

The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

Formerly of Lithuania, Vakaris lived in Tavrane, Kilkelly.

Predeceased by his grandfather Kestutis.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken parents Renata and Nerijus, brothers Ruslanas, Faustas and Nojus and his sisters Karina and Vilte, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Vakaris's funeral will arrive to St. Colman’s Church, Claremorris, this Friday for requiem Mass at 11am, with removal afterwards to Shannon Crematorium for a committal service at 2pm.

Since the tragic news broke out, tributes have been pouring in for the young man.

Such unbearable heartbreak for your family, losing such a beautiful son. My heartfelt condolences to you all. May he watch over you all and give you the strength to carry on. Rest In Peace Vakaris,” wrote someone in tribute.

“Condolences to the family of Vakaris on the tragic loss of their son and brother. May his gentle soul Rest in Peace,” paid someone in tribute.
