New traffic calming measures planned for Clare town
MOTORISTS and road users are being advised of proposals to install new traffic calming measures in Shannon.
In a public notice, Clare County Council says the works will be carried out on the L3320 at Tradaree in the townland of Tullyglass.
A public consultation is now underway and will continue until early in the new year.
If approved, the works will the removal of an existing traffic calming island to be replaced by two 'vertical deflections'
Drawings and particulars of the proposed scheme can be viewed here and any submissions or observations should be made in writing or by email before 4pm on January 2, 2024.
