Motorists in Clare and Limerick are being advised of delays as diversions have now been put in place following a road traffic collision on the N18 dual carriageway between Sixmilebridge and Bunratty.

The incident was reported at approximately 4pm this bank holiday Friday, with gardaí and emergency services attending the scene.

While a number of vehicles were involved and it may take some time to clear the scene, there are no reports of any serious injuries.

Traffic on the southbound carriageway (Clare to Limerick) is being diverted through Bunratty and is said to be moving along quickly.
