Take note! Shannon Airport issues important advice ahead of busy bank holiday weekend

Passengers intending to travel from Shannon Airport over the coming weeks and over the summer are being urged to pre-book their parking due to high demand for spaces

Passengers intending to travel from Shannon Airport over the coming weeks and over the summer are being urged to pre-book their parking due to high demand for spaces.

Over 60,000 people are expected to travel through the airport over the bank holiday weekend and the Shannon Airport Group says there are a limited number of parking spaces are still available.

Shannon Airport has five car parks to choose from - all of which are located close to the main terminal building. Walking distances to the terminal range from just 30 seconds to seven minutes.

Commenting ahead of the weekend, a Shannon Airport spokesperson said: "With peak season in full swing, we recommend pre-booking your car parking at least one week in advance."
