ALERT: Motorists warned of three-day road closure in busy Clare town

Monastery Lane in Ennistymon will be closed to all traffic from 8am on Monday, April 7 until 7pm on Wednesday, April 9

Motorists are being advised of a three-day road closure in the centre of a busy Clare town next week.

In a public notice, issued under Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993,  Clare County Council says the L5130, Monastery Lane in Ennistymon will be closed to all traffic from 8am on Monday, April 7 until 7pm on Wednesday, April 9.

The local authority says the closure will be in place to facilitate the installation of a water and wastewater connection to a new development in the area.

Alternative routes / diversions
Motorists travelling from the Lisdoonvarna direction are being advised to continue on the N67 and to turn left onto Parliament St., L-1122 and visa-versa if travelling in the opposite direction (see map below). 

Clare County Council says delays can be expected during the works, particularly at peak times.
