Gardaí are asking motorists to plan ahead if they are heading to the Munster Senior Hurling Championship between Clare and Limerick this Sunday.
The clash, which will throw in at 2pm in Cusack Park, Ennis, will see a projected full house of 20,100 attendees after the stiles open at 12pm.
Gardaí say there will be no parking in the vicinity of the match grounds with the exception of those with parking passes.
Those with parking passes for Glór Theatre and Clare FM studios must access the area via the Causeway link road only (Temple Gate Roundabout).
Otherwise, parking will be available in the following areas: Clare County Council Offices at New Road, Holy Family Car Parking, Abbey St Car Park or Parnell St Car Park, and Legal on-street parking where available.
A limited number of parking passes will be available from Clare and Limerick County Boards for disabled parking spaces and no match traffic will be allowed to access Francis Street with the exception of permit and pass holders.
Vehicle access from Francis Street to Clon Road will be limited to residents and vehicles wishing to utilise Tesco or Aldi shopping facilities only. Access will be restricted at car park entrance.
Shopper vehicle access may be restricted at peak supporter movement times, from 1 to 2pm and 3:30 to 4:30pm.
Motorists can access Ennis via the following exits on the M18: Junction 11 (Dromoland), Junction 12 (Clareabbey) – inbound down to single lane in bound due to road works, Junction 13 (Tulla Rd), Junction 14 (Barefield).
Exiting Ennis post-match is recommended via Junctions 12, 13 & 14.
