A star-studded concert is taking place in the heart of Ennis this month, with all proceeds going towards delivering vital humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

Come down for a night of music and solidarity at the Temple Gate Hotel on Thursday, September 18 where a special event is being hosted to support the Freedom Flotilla Coalition and the important work they do.

There will be very special live performances from some of the country's most celebrated musicians and singers.

Performing on the night will be renowned singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Susan O'Neill, internet sensations Tara Howley and Padraig Howley, musicians Ultan O'Brien, Neil Ó Lochlainn, Fergal Scahill and Ruth Smith, a musician and poet. The multi-award-winning traditional music family, comprised of Ann, Seán and Aisling Lyons, will also take to the stage.

The MC on the night will be celebrated actor, writer and director Diarmuid De Faoite.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition is an international solidarity movement formed in 2010. It coordinates civilian-led aid missions by sea to break the Israeli blockade of the Gaza strip, delivering humanitarian supplies and protesting collective punishment through non-violent direct action.

It was formed following Israel's raid on the 2010 Gaza Freedom Flotilla, which involved the killing of nine activists on board in international waters. Since then, it has organised efforts aimed at raising global awareness of the humanitarian needs of Gaza and demanded unrestricted maritime access to deliver essential aid.

Doors will open at 7:30pm with music commencing at 8pm. A raffle featuring some fabulous prizes will also take place.

Tickets are €25 and can be purchased here or on the night. Any and all donations are welcome.
