The vibrant heart of West Clare will come alive as the Vandeleur Festival Kilrush returns for its third year, taking place from Thursday, June 26 to Sunday, June 29.

Set in the stunning surrounds of the Vandeleur Walled Garden and Visitor Centre, the festival promises an unforgettable four-day celebration of music, culture and community spirit.

Festival organisers have announced their outstanding line-up, featuring the internationally renowned Irish-American supergroup 'Cherish The Ladies'; award-winning folk trio 'Socks in the Frying Pan'; country music sensation Gerry Guthrie; and beloved Kerry comedian Bernard Casey.

As well as these headlining acts, there will also be music at the garden during the day over the weekend. Saturday promises to be a fun day with the launch of the brand-new 'Gifts at Vandeleur' gift shop by Kilkenny Design, which will include special guests, in-store promotions and an opportunity to meet the local makers.

The 2025 Vandeleur Festival is proudly supported by Clare County Council, the Kilrush Town Team, Kilrush Amenity Trust CLG, and Kilrush Credit Union, reflecting a strong commitment to enriching cultural life in the region.

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for festivalgoers, a park and ride service will operate every fifteen minutes between Kilrush town centre and the festival venue each evening.

The festival opens on Thursday, June 26, with side-splitting laughter as comedian Bernard Casey takes to the stage. Known for his sharp wit and relatable humour, Casey has sold out major venues such as the INEC, Vicar Street and The Everyman Theatre, as well as performing internationally in London, New York and Boston.

Clare’s own 'Socks in the Frying Pan' will headline Friday night, June 27, with their energetic blend of traditional Irish melodies and modern rhythms. The acclaimed trio: Aodán Coyne (guitar, vocals); Shane Hayes (accordion); and Fiachra Hayes (fiddle), are known for their electrifying performances and musical chemistry.

Returning by popular demand on Saturday, June 28, 'Cherish the Ladies' will once again dazzle audiences with their exhilarating mix of traditional Irish music, stunning vocals and spellbinding step dancing. Led by the legendary Joanie Madden, the ensemble has earned international acclaim, including the prestigious National Heritage Award from the NEA.

Closing the festival on Sunday, June 29 is Gerry Guthrie, a leading light in Ireland’s country music scene. The Ballina-based singer and his five-piece band have been entertaining audiences across Ireland and the UK for over a decade, promising a high-energy finale to this year’s festivities.

All evening concerts begin at 7:30pm and are ticketed events. Early booking is recommended as capacity is limited with demand expected to be high.
