24 community projects in Ennis were too awarded an incredible €84,650 for this year
One Clare town is set to shine even brighter this coming Christmas after being approved for a significant funding boost from the County Council.
Ennis has been allocated €15,000 for Christmas lights in the town under the General Municipal Allocation. This approval was set out in the May meeting of the Ennis Municipal District.
Along with this welcome news, 11 festivals and events were also awarded funding, amounting to €32,365 in total.
Some lucky organisations include the Ennis Book Club Festival (€7,000), the Ennis Choral Festival (€4,500), the County Clare Agricultural Show Society (€4,000) and the Ennis Town Football Club (€3,000).

Further on, 24 community projects in Ennis were too awarded an incredible €84,650 for this year.
€10,000, the highest amount awarded, was allocated to Clarecastle GAA, Ennis Tidy Towns and Eire Óg.
Mayoral Ceremonies/Administration were approved for €3,000 in funding and the Franciscan Friary, St Vincent de Paul, St Columba’s Church and St John Community Games were awarded €1,000 each in the same category as the Christmas lights allocation.
