Many Clare natives welcomed these fines, noting how difficult it can be to pass through this area
As the sun is set to shine again this coming weekend, drivers in County Clare are being urged to travel safe following a crackdown on illegal parking.
This news comes after gardaí received numerous complaints of both illegal parking and obstruction at a popular beauty spot in Killaloe where authorities issued several Fixed Charge Penalty Notices at Twomilegate on Sunday, May 18.
These fines came as a result of vehicles being parked at both sides of the road, which caused an obstruction to the flow of traffic.
This poses a risk to health and safety as parking responsibly ensures the safe movement of road users, including emergency vehicles which may need to get by.
Many Clare natives welcomed these fines, noting how difficult it can be to pass through this area.

Taking to social media, one user said, "So dangerous, could barely get past and when I did there were children everywhere."
Another commented, "Was very hard to pass through yesterday with cars parked everywhere and even up on the footpath so people were having to walk out onto the road to go around the cars parked."
A third stated, "It was very dangerous, not enough room for two cars to pass each other, cars abandoned everywhere."
While a fourth said, "Extremely dangerous today."
