Gardaí in Newmarket on Fergus are investigating two burglaries that occurred between last Saturday evening and Sunday morning

The perpetrators of a burglary of a commercial premises in Newmarket-on-Fergus are "believed to have been in the premises" for some time, according to gardaí. 

Gardaí in Newmarket on Fergus are investigating two burglaries that occurred between Saturday evening, April 27 at 6pm and Sunday morning, April 28, at 12 midday.

The first burglary occurred at a commercial premises on the Ennis Road.

Access was gained to this property by forcing the front door, gardaí said in a statement, and the perpetrators are believed "to have been in the premises for a period of time".

The same group also attempted to gain access to a second commercial premises on Ennis Road during the same time frame.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have heard noise from the industrial estate on the Ennis Road to contact Newmarket on Fergus Garda Station on 061 368172 or Shannon Garda Station on 067 365900.
