Road at Newmarket-on-Fergus to be closed for up to 3 weeks for watermain upgrades

The works are to facilitate the installation of a new watermain, according to a notice from Clare County Council

Clare County Council have published a notice of a proposed temporary road closure at Newmarket-on-Fergus for almost 3 weeks.

The L-3164 at Lemenaghmore, Newmarket-on-Fergus will be temporarily closed in April facilitate the installation of a new watermain.

The closure will be in effect from 8am Monday, April 15 to Friday, May 3, 6pm.

It will be a 24-hour closure, allowing for local and emergency access.

Alternative routes and diversions will be in place along the R458 and R472 (diversion route map below).
