A CLARE TD has had an "eventful start" to 2024, following urgent surgery at University Hospital Limerick.
Fianna Fáil TD Cathal Crowe posted on social media that he had to have his appendix removed in UHL on Tuesday evening, January 2.
"Relieved and feeling massively grateful!" he said in a post on X(formerly Twitter) late on Tuesday night.

Despite feeling "sore and banjaxed" following his appendectomy, Cathal said that his office remains fully open and available to answer all queries for his constituents.
"Hopefully some rest will have me fully ready for road again in the coming days. Constituents - don’t hesitate to get in contact!" he said.
