CLARE County Council will hold a number of information nights for those interested in joining the fire service.
At present, the council are hiring retained part-time firefighters for Ennistymon, Kilrush, Kilkee, Killaloe, Scariff and Shannon.
They are holding two information nights this Monday from 7pm to 9pm at Ennistymon and Shannon fire stations, and anyone interested in a career in the fire service is invited to attend.

The council are currently seeking applications for retained part-time firefighters on their website.
A panel of applicants will be formed from which future appointments may be made if required and subject to sanction approval from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
