GARDAI say a motorist who was caught driving a car which had four bald tyres has been fined.
The detection was made during a routine patrol in County Clare in recent days - during the current cold snap.
According to a post on social media, highlighting the incident, the NCT for the silver-coloured Mazda car expired in March of last year.

"It was found that all four tyres were bald and its NCT was out of date (by) 20 months. The driver has been fined and the car seized," read the post.
The exact location of the detection has not been identified publicly.
