Woman, 70s, dies after falling off steep bank on Limerick/Tipperary border

A WOMAN has died after falling off a steep bank at Clare Glens, on the Limerick/Tipperary border.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident at Clare Glens, on Wednesday evening.

A spokesperson for the garda confirmed the woman, aged in her 70s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Coroner has been notified and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.

It is understood the woman was a German national who was touring the country.
