RESULTS: How Clare voted in the family referendum

Voters in Clare have voted by a significant majority to defeat the proposed amendment to the Constitution in the Family referendum.

The majority of voters in the county voted against the proposed amendment regarding the Family bill.

In Clare, 12,573 people voted in favour of the change while 26,574 people voted against the proposed amendment.

The total turnout in Clare was 39,650 out of total electorate of 90,101.

There were 503 invalid ballot papers for Clare.
