A well-known Clare TD fell from his bike and picked up a nasty injury on his way to Leinster House, posting a graphic photo of his injury to social media.
Cathal Crowe TD from Meelick, Co Clare, shared his commute story to X (formerly Twitter) along with pictures of his bloody injury as a result from the fall this Tuesday, February 20.
“Fell off my bike in front of Trinity College today. Wheel got caught in Luas rail line and threw me onto a footpath. Very sore left leg, ripped pants,” the TD informed his 4,000+ followers.
Although his injuries were minor, he avoided a potentially serious collision as a bus was behind him - had he fallen onto the road, it may have been a more serious incident.
The former Mayor of Clare is a TD and a member of the Fianna Fáil party. He is from Clare and has his office in Ennis.
I guess it was inevitably going to happen at some stage.

“Live to fight (and cycle) another day! Stay safe everyone!,” he said.
