The top 12 coastal walks in Ireland to explore in 2024 have been revealed, with three Clare locations ranking on the list.
With the help of Betway, the top 12 coastal walks to discover in Ireland have been revealed, with the popularity of each location measured by a unique index score - based on the number of hashtags and views each coastal gem has racked up on Instagram, as well as Trip Advisor rankings.
The Cliffs of Moher ranked third, Fanore Beach ranked eighth and White Strand came in at number 11.

Cliffs of Moher, Clare and Howth Cliff Walk, Dublin
Malahide Castle, Dublin
Slieve League Cliffs, Donegal
Curracloe Beach, Wexford

Fanore Beach, Clare
Dursey Island Loop Walk, Co. Cork and Enniscrone Beach, Sligo

Ballycotton Cliff Walk, Cork and White Strand, Clare

Known as a peaceful unspoilt peninsula, Sheep’s Head Bay came first in county Cork. Situated between Bantry Bay and Dunmanus Bay, the secluded spot was ranked the best walking trail in Ireland.
"The Cliffs of Moher is home to one of Ireland’s most spectacular views, as it’s known as a natural masterpiece," according to the report.
Following behind the Clare cliffs were the highest sea cliffs of Europe, the Slieve League Cliffs, in Donegal, ranking fifth. These are three times the height of the Cliffs of Moher.
