A NEW bus route from Ennis to Smithstown industrial estate in Shannon has been launched for workers.
The recently enhanced TFI Local Link Limerick Clare route C4 now includes an early morning 6:35am service from Ennis to Shannon.
This change is due mainly to requests made from businesses in the Smithstown Industrial Estate and from Atlantic Aviation Group at Hangar one. TFI Local Link will now service these locations and will also collect employees at 5:10pm starting from Hangar one.
This extension has been met with "great success", providing public transport for workers in the area.
The service is also demand responsive, which can deviate from the scheduled route by up to 5km if feasible.
Those interested in availing of the services are urged to contact their Local Link offices for bookings, as the timetable is subject to change.
