New footpaths and road crossings proposed for west Clare village

CLARE County Council have proposed a number of traffic calming measures for roads in Doolin.

Works proposed for the R459 in the townland of Ballaghaline in the west Clare village include installation of new concrete road kerbs, footpath and stone walls; provision of public lighting columns; and realignment of the public road and all associated line marking and signage.

Similer works are also proposed for the R479 in the townlands of Doolin and Teergonean, including a proposed footpath and public lighting.

Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme are available until January 15 2024 on the council website here.

Submissions and observations in relation to the proposals may be made by email to roads@clarecoco.ie or in writing to Administrative Officer, Clare County Council, Roads and Transportation Department, Áras Contae an Chláir, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare before 4:00 p.m. on January 15 2024.
