In Pictures: Clare communities show their support for Patrick Mckeogh Tractor Run

More than 140 tractors take part in festive fundraising event

THE third annual Patrick Mckeogh Tractor Run which passed through County Clare at the weekend has been hailed a major success.

The event, which raised funds for Irish Cancer Society, took place at the weekend.

According to the organisers, 142 tractors took part along with several trucks and other vehicles.

Patrick McKeogh (16) fell from a quad bike as he was retrieving cattle that had broken loose from the family’s dairy farm, at Inchadrinagh, Ballina, County Tipperary, early on the morning of June 28, 2021 - his death was ruled as accidental following an inquest.

Starting at Ballina GAA pitch, the run traveled through parts of Clare, Limerick and Tipperary before finishing back in Ballina.

Following the conclusion of the run, a monster auction took place in Liam O'Rians pub in Ballina
