PLANS have been revealed to install a new traffic-light system close to a County Clare primary school.
Clare County Council has published details of its intention to install traffic calming measures in the townlands of Ballykeelaun, Kilquane and Gortatogher at Parteen village.
According to a public notice, the project will include the construction of a footpath from Parteen National School to a point 421m Southeast along the L-3060-0.
"This will incorporate new kerbs, drop kerbs, tactile paving, drainage pipes and gullies, road reinstatement and the provision of public lighting," states the notice which adds: "The proposed traffic calming measures will also incorporate a new stop-go traffic light system with signage, traffic lights and road markings."
Further details, including maps and drawings can be viewed here and any submissions or observations may be made by email or in writing on or before 4pm on November 13.
