CLARE County Council has confirmed it plans to install traffic calming measures at several locations in Sixmilebridge.
The local authority has published a statutory notice outlining details of the proposed works and a public consultation process is now underway.
The proposed works include the installation of 8 gateway signs on the R470, R471 and R462; the installation of 4 alternative colour/texture surfaces on the R470, R471 and R462; the installation of 2 transverse/rumble markings on the R470 and R462; the installation of chevron signage on the R462 and the construction of a pedestrian crossing on the L7119 at Inis Orga Estate.
Plans and particulars of the proposed works can be viewed here or are available for inspection at the Clare County Council, New Road, Ennis or Shannon Municipal District Offices, in Shannon during office hours.
Submissions and observations in relation to the proposal may be made by email to roads@clarecoco.ie or in writing before 4pm on Monday October 9, 2023.
