Planning application submitted for extension to secondary school

PLANNING permission has been sought for an extension to a Clare secondary school to accommodate students with special educational needs.

Schools PPP (Ireland) Ltd. have applied for planning permission, on behalf of St Caimin's Community College in Tullyvarraga, Shannon, for a single-storey extension to the southern side of the existing school building for the accommodation of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and associated site works.

The application, which was submitted to Clare County Council on August 8, is receiving submissions from the public until September 11, with a decision due date listed as October 2.
