Traffic calming measures to be introduced in Clare town centre

TRAFFIC calming measures on a busy central Clare road is to commence shortly. 

Clare County Council have issued a notice that L4548 Old Mill Street, Ennis will be made one way to vehicular traffic and other traffic calming measures are to be put in place. 

These include: construction of a footpath with uncontrolled pedestrian crossings, footpath buildout, installation of tactile paving, all associated signs and road markings.

Old Mill Street will be made one way from east to west from the junction of Carmody Street for 55 metres and it will be weight restricted. 

The public are invited to submit observations and proposals until Monday, August 14 at 4pm.
