Iarnród Éireann advises customers that a revised timetable will be in place this Easter weekend on all routes
EASTER is a busy time for travel, and Clare customers are being asked to note major works on rail service arrangements this bank holiday weekend.
There is said to be revised timetables on all routes, with works affecting Clare, Limerick, Cork and Kerry services.
From the afternoon of Good Friday to the morning of Easter Monday, track and bridge renewal works will take place between Portlaoise and Thurles.
This will specifically take effect from 2.30pm on Good Friday, April 7, to 10.30am on Easter Monday, April 10.
As a result, a revised timetable will operate between Dublin Heuston and Cork, Tralee and Limerick with bus transfers between Portlaoise and Thurles in both directions. Services between Ennis and Colbert Station in Limerick will operate as normal.
Advance booking is essential during these times, Iarnród Éireann has advised.
Other major commuter sevices and routes are also to be affected by major works, so customers are advised to check times before travel from Good Friday, to Easter Monday.
This can be done online or through the Iarnród Éireann app.
Intercity travel can also be booked at the website or app, and is strongly advised, particularly at busiest times and during the times of major works.
