The ball will take place at Limerick's Strand Hotel
A LIMERICK hotel has been announced as the host venue of this years Irish Hotel’s Federation (IHF) Mid-West Tourism Ball.
After a four year hiatus, the return of the Ball has been longly anticipated, as the key aim of the event is to raise funds for local tourism initiatives in the region.
400 guests are expected to attend the event on April 17 at the four star hotel, with the hospitality team being supported by students from LCETB’s Hospitality Education & Training Centre on the night.
“We are thrilled to have the Mid-West Tourism Ball back at The Limerick Strand, and to welcome our regional colleagues to enjoy an evening of gracious hospitality and fun.
“I am also looking forward to presenting the coveted Recognition Award on the night,” said Stephen O’Connor, General Manager of The Limerick Strand.
The Limerick venue hasn’t hosted a IHF event since 2013, while this is the first Ball to take place since the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event kicks-off with a drinks reception at 7pm and tickets at €80 per person and special overnight accommodation rates on offer also.
Founded in 1937, the Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) is the national organisation of the hotel and guesthouse industry in Ireland.
The IHF represents almost 1,000 hotels and guesthouses nationwide, employing over 65,000 people and is a key stakeholder in the Irish tourism sector.
