CLARE County Council has welcomed the allocation of almost €3million million under the Community Recognition Fund 2023 from the Department of Rural and Community Development.

The Fund aims to support the development of community infrastructure and facilities in recognition of the contribution being made in welcoming and hosting significant numbers of arrivals from Ukraine and other countries.

The local authority has been allocated a total of €2.9million.

Expressions of interest are now being sought and a number of walk-in information clinics will take place at locations across Clare next week.

This fund presents a great opportunity to improve local infrastructure and amenities.”

I look forward to seeing community projects progressing and being delivered for the benefit of all.”
