Met Éireann has issued a yellow weather warning for Clare
MET ÉIREANN has issued a status yellow wind and rain warning for County Clare.
The Irish meteorological service said that the warning, which is for the province of Munster, will be valid from 6pm this evening Wednesday, January 11 until midnight of Thursday, January 12.
On their official website, they warned: "Becoming very windy on Wednesday evening and night with heavy rain. Possible spot flooding. Strong westerly winds with gusts of 90 to 110 km/h."
Motorist are advised to drive with caution on Limerick roads while the weather warning remains in effect.
Lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees will occur early in the night.
Tomorrow in Clare will be dull and damp at first, with locally wet conditions.
While sunny spells will develop, some passing blustery showers will track west to east too, while some will turn to hail later, and becoming very windy as strong to very strong westerly winds develop.
Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.
