Gardaí appeal for witnesses to 'distressing' robbery in Ennis
Suspect has been arrested by gardaí and has since been remanded in custody
Gardaí are investigating a robbery that took place in a commercial premises on Abbey Street in Ennis.
The incident, which took place on Thursday, February 8, was a very distressing incident for the staff.
The suspect fled the scene on foot and was quickly arrested by Gardaí and was detained at Ennis Garda Station.
He was charged with a number of offences under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and brought before Ennis District Court where he was remanded in custody.
