Free exhibition in Clare showcases 'strong' collaboration between female painters

WHAT unites and differentiates three female artists is what makes their collaboration "strong", with a collection of works being exhibited in Clare.
Meanderings of a Colourful Mind – a collaborative painting exhibition by Marja van Kampen, Olivia O’Keeffe and Martina Furlong, is being presented in the Clare Museum in conjunction with Clare Arts Office.
"The elements that unite these three female artists, as well as their differences, make this a particularly strong collaboration," says a spokesperson of Clare Arts Office.
"Firstly, all three artists are pure colourists with a clear fascination for the relationships between colours. They have a natural ability to create a certain mood and intensity by optimising the effect of colours through their placement.
"Secondly, all three artists are refreshingly playful in both their paint application and their imaginative depictions. They have a very distinct and unique style and method of self-expression and yet they harmonise amazingly well together."
The exhibition is free of charge and runs until January, 26. All are welcome.
