EXPLORING history via art is what one local artist is bringing to the people of Clare, with her new exhibition, ‘Vial’.

Artist Marie Connole is hosting Vial in Scariff Library Gallery for an entire month, available from August 15 - September 15.

There will be a free special appearance from the artist herself on September 14 at 6:30pm, for a public talk, which Dr. Tomás Mac Conmara will also attend to speak.

Featured in Scariff are two distinct series of artworks by Marie: ‘Irrepressible Women of Clare’ and ‘An Alchemy of the Civil War’, both exploring Ireland's Revolutionary Years.

Since 2021 the Clare artist has been commissioned under the Decade of Centenaries Programme to create artworks highlighting events in Ireland, and particularly Clare, from 1913 to 1923.placeholder image
