A second stated, "Sincere sympathy to all the Enright family. Fr Enright was the Parish Priest in Crecora when I first started teaching there. Like other teachers in the school I worked with him for several years to prepare the First Holy Communion Class. He was very dedicated to the children of the school and I was very fond of him. May you rest in peace Fr Enright."

While a third commented, "I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Fr Enright. He played a special and cherished role in many important moments of my life - he gave me my First Holy Communion, was present at my Confirmation, and most recently celebrated our Wedding Mass just two years ago. I was honoured to serve with him as a child and his witty presence, kindness, and gentle guidance left a lasting impression on me and on so many others.

"Deepest sympathies to the Enright family, the Bishop and Priests of the diocese at this sad time. Leaba i measc na Naomh go raibh aige agus go gcloise sé ceol na n-aingeal. Go raibh suaimhneas síoraí aige."

Fr Liam reposed at St John’s Church, Cratloe from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Evening prayers followed.

His Concelebrated Requiem Mass will take place today (August 8) at 12pm in the same church followed by burial in the St John’s Church grounds.

May he rest in peace.
