CLARE County Council have opened an online public consultation for the proposed One Shannon Hub.
The One Shannon Hub is the key transformational project to emerge from the Shannon Town Centre Masterplan, which looks to create a new social heart for the Clare town.
Published in 2022, the purpose of the masterplan is to guide the development of Shannon into the future and to influence and deliver on real change for in order to make it a more attractive destination in which to live, work and do business.
The council recently held a public consultation on the proposed One Shannon Hub, a civic and cultural building currently at preliminary design stage.
Proposed to be located in the town centre, the hub looks to combine civic offices, an adaptable performance and community space, library, artists studios and workshops, meeting spaces, flexible co-working spaces and a café.
An online questionnaire has been launched as part of this process, which the public are invited to undertake.
Findings from the consultation process will inform the future development of this project, and will help shape the vision for the future of this important civic and cultural hub for Shannon.
More information on the proposal can be found here.
The questionnaire will be open for submissions until January 7, 2024, and can be filled out on the Clare County Council website.
