The suspect was brought before Ennis District Court on New Year's Day
A man has been arrested and charged in Ennis following a burglary on New Year's Eve, An Garda Síochána have confirmed.
Taking place in the Willow Park estate in the early hours of December 31, a vehicle, which was parked outside a domestic residence, was illegally entered and items stolen.
This car, a black Toyota Verso, was parked in the Bishopscourt estate and it is believed that the suspect entered the vehicle between 3am and 4am. He also attempted to enter a number of other cars.

Giving an update on these incidents, it was revealed that gardaí arrested a male, aged in his 20s, on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
He was detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Ennis garda station and was later charged with the criminal offence of burglary under the Criminal Justice (Theft & Fraud Offences) Act 2001.
The suspect was brought before Ennis District Court on the same date. Gardaí would like to thank the public for their assistance in these investigations and if anyone has any information regarding these crimes, please contact the Gardaí at Ennis garda station.
