Investigations underway in Ennis as bins are set on fire in daytime incident

The Clare Fire and Rescue Service responded to this call and Gardaí have now confirmed that are treating the damage as malicious

Ennis Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an incident of criminal damage last Sunday afternoon.

On September 28, a number of bins were set on fire in the laneway to the rear of the Roselevin Shopping Centre, also to the rear of Murphy’s Pharmacy and Molloy Butchers. This offence occurred between 1pm and 1:30pm in the day.

The Clare Fire and Rescue Service responded to this call and Gardaí have now confirmed that are treating the damage as malicious. An investigation is currently underway.

Members of An Garda Síochána in the town are now appealing to anyone that may have observed this incident or may have information in relation to this crime. If you do, please contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848100.
