Gardaí seek witnesses following bizarre criminal damage incidents in Clare town

This took place along Church Road in Kilkee on Friday, August 15 at 10pm

Kilrush Gardaí are investigating two bizarre criminal damage incidents that have taken place in recent days. 

In the first case, a property was entered through damaging the front door and a fire was lit in the garden. This took place along Church Road in Kilkee on Friday, August 15 at 10pm.

Just two days later on August 17, a similar incident occurred on Grattan Street in the town. Throughout the course of this offence, a home was entered and a small fire was also lit early on Sunday morning at 6:50am. 

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána in the county appealed to the public: "Did you see anyone in the area that was unusual to you? If so, please contact Kilrush Garda Station on 0659080550."
