Witnesses sought following broad daylight burglary of home in Ennis

The first offender is described as wearing a bucket hat, a facemask, dark coloured top and jeans

Gardaí in Ennis are investigating a midday burglary which occurred at a home along the Clon Road. 

The incident took place on Sunday, August 3 in the Park Avenue area at 2:48pm. 

Gardaí believe the offenders used tools to gain entry through the front door of the property. It is understood that two people entered the family home.

The first offender is described as wearing a bucket hat, a facemask, dark coloured top and jeans. The second offender is described as wearing a cap, dark clothing and a facemask. Both offenders were in the property for a short period before they left.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána in the town said, "If you believe that you witnessed the perpetrators entering this home or if you observed these two individuals in the area of Park Avenue, please contact us at Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848100."
