Gardaí seek information after man is seen breaking car window and stealing handbag in Clare

This occurred at approximately 8:05pm in the car park at O’Brien’s Bridge

Gardaí in Killaloe are investigating a criminal damage incident that occurred in the car park at O’Brien’s Bridge on Sunday evening, July 6. 

A witness describes observing a man smash the passenger window of a red Ford Fiesta with a hurley, going on to then steal a handbag from the vehicle. This took place at approximately 8:05pm.

The witness also described the offender a slender male who was wearing a light blue hoodie. The perpetrator left the scene in a black Volkswagen Passat. Gardaí confirmed that this car sped through the village and took a left at O’Gorman’s Cross. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have information or could have observed this Volkswagen Passat in the O’Brien’s Bridge area on Sunday evening to please contact them at Killaloe Garda Station on 061 620540.
