ALERT: Woman in Clare 'grabbed' by man with scarf over face as gardaí investigate
Gardaí in Clare are investigating an assault on a female in her 20s on Clonroadmore in Ennis last week.
The terrifying incident happened last Thursday, July 3, at approximately 11.15am.
In a statement, gardaí said: "The injured party was walking with another woman along Tobertaiscain in direction of Centra. She noticed a man following her and she described him as wearing no top, a shorts and he had a scarf wrapped around his face.
"As she went onto Clonroadmore, he grabbed her. Both women screamed and he let go.
"The male fled the scene on foot and returned a short time later walking in the direction of Ennis town wearing a black t/shirt, shorts and he still had a scarf around his face.

"This description is very distinctive and we are appealing to anyone that may have observed this assault or observed this male on Tobertaiscain or Clonroadmore or in Ennis town on Thursday from 11am onwards to please contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848100."
