Clare Gardaí issue fraud warning after local is scammed out of €400

Ennis Gardaí are investigating this fraud

Gardaí in Clare have issued a warning to the public urging them to be vigilant online. This comes after a local was conned out of a large sum of money before realising something was not quite right.

Ennis Gardaí are investigating this fraud, whereby a person received what seemed to be a legitimate email.

Claiming to be an acquaintance of the inured party, this person went on to request Apple iTunes gift card vouchers. The suspect wanted them to be forwarded via email.
