Two males left on foot after the incident
Gardaí in Ennis are currently investigating the attempted unauthorised taking of a vehicle in the town, with the incident occurring on Tuesday, April 29.
Taking place at roughly 8:35am on the day in question at Shalee Drive in Cloughleigh, the rear driver’s side window of a white Toyota Corolla car was found broken and the ignition barrel was also tampered with.
Gardaí have confirmed that the perpetrator was wearing a grey rain jacket with a hood and black pants with trainers. Along with this, there was a second male present who was acting as a watch-out for the first male as he attempted to take the car. This male was wearing dark clothing and they both left on foot.

A spokesperson for the Ennis An Garda Síochána said, "We’re asking people to be extra vigilant and that if you own a non-EU vehicle and have an immobiliser, you might think of other crime prevention measures as a visual deterrent such as the steering wheel brace lock or a car alarm."
If you saw anything suspicious in the area, please contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 684 8100.
