Investigation underway as multiple cars are damaged in Ennis fire

It is believed that as many as 18 vehicles were involved

Investigations begin after a number of cars are left damaged in Ennis

Inquiries are ongoing

Gardaí in Ennis are investigating a suspected criminal damage incident which saw a number of cars damaged overnight in the town. 

Gardaí and local fire services responded to this incident, taking place at a premises on the Quin Road in Ennis shortly after midnight on Sunday, May 4, following reports of a vehicle on fire.

Upon arriving at the scene, the blaze was dealt with, but it is said that firefighters spent hours dealing with this incident at the premises. 

It is believed that as many as 18 vehicles were involved, with some being damaged or totally destroyed altogether. 

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána in Ennis said, "A number of vehicles within the facility were damaged. No one was injured. The scene was examined and inquiries are ongoing."
